Connectria’s Board of Directors announced earlier this month that Amar K. Patel has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Amar joined Connectria as Chief Revenue Officer in 2018 after spending almost 20 years as a sales leader at Rackspace, Dell, and Liquid Web.

Since 2018, Amar has played an important role in Connectria’s growth and the establishment of a rapidly growing cloud business unit that provides management, migration, and modernization services for AWS and Azure. Richard Waidmann, who founded Connectria in 1996, assumes the role of Executive Chairman where he will help guide Amar and Connectria’s management team moving forward.

“Following the successful acquisition of WSM in 2019 and the launch of our new IBM Power Systems hybrid clouds in late 2020, I believe this is the right time to transition to a new CEO,” Waidmann said. “With Amar’s record and comprehensive industry experience, I have the utmost confidence in his abilities and vision for Connectria.
