We’re excited to share that we have achieved the AWS Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Competency!

This achievement recognizes our outstanding commitment to security and compliance and establishes that we have met AWS’s high standards for delivering 24/7 protection and monitoring of essential AWS resources to our customers.

After achieving AWS Premier Partner status earlier this year, we’ve been focused on continuing to expand our AWS Managed Services practice and strengthening our commitment to cloud security and compliance.

Becoming an AWS Managed Security Services Competency Partner

To earn the AWS MSSP Competency, partners must meet AWS’s standard of quality for managed security services, which details technical and operational requirements for partners’ monitoring and response services of AWS environments.

The AWS Managed Security Services Competency covers services such as:

• AWS Infrastructure vulnerability management
• Monitoring for AWS service configuration to security best practices
• Managed detection and response (MDR)
• Managed web application firewall (WAF) service
• AWS resource inventory visibility
• Managed Detection and Response for AWS Endpoints
• AWS Compliance Monitoring for two or more of the following standards: PCI, DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, SOC2

The competency also validates partners with expertise in specialization categories including modern compute, identity behavior monitoring, managed application security testing, data privacy event management, digital forensics and incident response, business continuity, and ransomware readiness.

Making it Easier to Find the Right Partner

AWS launched the AWS MSSP Competency to enable customers to acquire ongoing security monitoring and management that has been validated by AWS. AWS security experts annually validate the tools used and operational processes of each MSSP to address specific cloud security challenges such as continuous event monitoring, triaging, AWS service configuration best practices, and 24/7 incident response.

By providing a competency program for Managed Security Services, AWS provides a faster and easier experience for customers to select the right MSSP to help them achieve their goals for business risk and cloud strategy confidence.
